Ringlink
A one-minute connect-the-rings puzzle. Drag through matching rings, make long links, and close loops to clear a whole colour.
barumba.gg is the prelaunch site. The games open at launch; no date is posted yet. Back to the waitlist page.
How to play Ringlink
The board is a grid of rings, six across and seven down, in five colours. Each colour also has its own inner mark, so you can tell them apart without relying on colour alone.
Press on a ring and drag through rings of the same colour that touch it up, down, left or right. Diagonals do not count. Let go to link them. A link needs at least two rings, and the score grows fast with length: two rings are worth 20, three are worth 60, four are worth 120 and five are worth 200. Changed your mind? Drag back onto the previous ring to undo the last step.
Bring the link back round onto a ring that is already in it to close a loop. A loop clears every ring of that colour on the whole board, worth 15 points per ring on top of the link itself.
Cleared rings drop out, the rings above fall, and new rings fall in from the top. If no move is left, the board reshuffles. A run lasts 60 seconds. The board and every new ring come from the daily seed, so everyone plays the same rings that UTC day.

Ringlink FAQ
How do you play Ringlink?
Drag through two or more touching rings of the same colour to link and clear them. Longer links score much more. A run lasts 60 seconds.
Do diagonal rings count?
No. Rings in a link must touch up, down, left or right.
What does closing a loop do?
Bringing a link back onto a ring already in it clears every ring of that colour from the whole board, for 15 points per ring plus the link.
Can I play if I am colour-blind?
Each colour has its own inner mark, so the rings can be matched by mark as well as by colour.
Is the board the same for everyone?
Yes. The starting board and the rings that drop in come from a seed made from the game name and the UTC date.
Can I play Ringlink now?
Not on barumba.gg yet. This is the prelaunch site. Ringlink opens with the rest of Barumba at launch. No date is posted.
Is it free?
Yes. Free in the browser, no download. Coins are virtual and have no cash value.
